Werewolf Name Generator

The undertone that makes a werewolf name work draws on two wells: the lunar and the feral. The word lycanthrope itself comes from the Greek myth of Lycaon, a king turned into a wolf, which is why lycan reads as an ancient, cursed word rather than a modern one. Leaning a name toward the moon (a lunar given name) or the wild (a feral surname) reinforces the curse without stating it.

For a character passing as human, keep the name ordinary and let a single wolfish root do the hinting; for one who has embraced the beast, lean harder into the feral roots and pair it with a pack name.
